How we 15x our clients return on ad spend in less than one week

Something that we don’t do often is boast. But every now and then, we all need to tell our friends about something cool we have done! So, check this out – you know how we always go on about the power of Facebook advertising…well we just got an agency record for Return On Ad Spend (ROAS) for a new client that we are running ads for! We 15x our client’s ad spend, leading to them make over $4,000 for less than $300 in only a few days.

Our previous record to this was 12.8x ROAS…which is still an absolutely amazing result! But, we can officially say this record has been smashed…

So, I bet you’re now wondering how we did this, right?

Ok, well it’s important first to tell you a bit about the client and what they were doing prior to us coming on board…you might be able to relate…

The Client

Our client runs an online store selling a range of health products. Through hard work and determination they were able to build this business to $1M+. They attracted customers via social media and by “boosting” Facebook ads to un-targeted audiences.

The client came to us because they knew the results we were getting for others in a similar industry, and they felt lost at how to continue scaling their online business.

The Solution

Here are some of the steps that we went through:

  • We immediately set up Business Manager for our clients Facebook account;
  • We then installed a Facebook pixel to start capturing data from our clients website traffic, engagements on Facebook and Instagram posts, Add to Cart tracking, Email subscribers and other important data to be collected from our clients customers;
  • We then created ultra targeted custom audiences in our clients Business Manager  
  • We then created a sales focussed funnel strategy that would target specific people at different stages of the buying journey, and lead them through the funnel to convert them from a prospect into a buyer (top of funnel, middle of funnel and bottom of funnel strategy);
  • We then created Facebook ads, Instagram ads and Instagram story ads relevant to each stage of the funnel;
  • Finally, we launched the ads…

Within only a matter of 3-4 days, our client had achieved:

  • Reached 28,000 people
  • 29 website purchases
  • $4,031.68+ in total conversions
  • $268.52 ad spend
  • 15.01X ROAS

The client is obviously extremely happy with the results and we will continue to kick goals for this client for a long time coming. Our goal is to scale this ad account over time, continue to add new offers, increase ad spend and at the very least double this clients business.

The takeaway?

Well, first of all, “boosting” Facebook posts is like giving Facebook your money…so stop. Immediately! Setting up a properly thought out funnel strategy that is relevant to your business and your customer is extremely important.

Facebook advertising works….extremely well, and can allow you to achieve results you didn’t know were possible.
